We are excited to announce that Neil has officially joined Z’gamok as the President of Z’gamok Mining. Neil has been consulting with us since April as an independent contractor, and during that time, he has consistently demonstrated his expertise, leadership, and commitment to creating growth opportunities for the Sagamok Anishnawbek Community.
Neil brings a thoughtful and people-focused approach to his new role. One key lesson he carries from his career is the importance of understanding before acting. “When joining a new team, expect that how work is done may be different, and different does not mean wrong,” he explains. “Trust that everyone is doing their best and take the time to learn from your team while growing together.” This philosophy underscores Neil’s approach to leadership, collaboration, and problem-solving.
Neil says what excites him most about this role is being part of a team focused on growth and creating meaningful opportunities for the Sagamok Anishnawbek Community.
Outside of work, Neil remains deeply engaged with his community. He is a long-serving Scout leader at both the local and national levels, and he has held leadership roles on the Boards of Directors for both the Sudbury CIM Branch and the Greater Sudbury Chamber of Commerce. His volunteer work reflects the same dedication and integrity he brings to his professional role.
